Chief Executive Officer

Name:  Genny Maroc, FACHE
Position: Chief Executive Officer

Genny Maroc has been CEO of the Hospital since February, 2002.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an Associate in Psychology from Grandview College in Des Moines, Iowa.  Genny has worked in the health care field for 25 years, including eight years at Marengo Memorial Hospital.  Genny is board certified in Healthcare Management (CHE) and a Fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives, a professional society dedicated to promoting the highest standards of professional, educational, and leadership performance; the highest ethical standards and conduct; and the advancement of healthcare management excellence.  She also holds a certification in healthcare quality as a Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). 

At Marengo Memorial Hospital she has been in the positions of Director of Quality Services, Director of Patient Care Services, Interim Administrator, and now CEO.  Her other work experience includes bedside nursing in the oncology specialty in a large hospital, acting as a reviewer for the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care (Peer Review Organization) and Quality Manager for Humana, Inc. and Humana Military Healthcare Services.  She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Iowa Association of Healthcare Leaders, and the Iowa Association for Healthcare Quality and the National Association for Healthcare Quality.  She is involved in the local Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce and serves as a board member of the Iowa County Board of Health.

 

Assistant Administrator

Name:  Mikaela Kienitz, RN, MSN

Position: Assistant Administrator

Mikaela Kienitz  has spent her entire nursing career at MMH.  She started as a staff nurse in 2001 and then in 2005 became the Associate Director of Patient Care Services.  In 2006, she was named the Director of Patient Care Services and in 2009 named Assistant Administrator.  Mikaela received her Master of Science in Nursing from Allen College with an emphasis on nursing leadership.  Mikaela lives in Marengo.

Terry Brecht

Terry has served the hospital as COO since June, 2006, an employee of Marengo Memorial Hospital since 1982 he has worked in the Respiratory Therapy Department and the Ambulance Department and served as the Director of Iowa County Ambulance Service from 1987-2009.  Terry received his education through Kirkwood Community College, University of Iowa EMSLRC, Mercy/St. Lukes Training Program and the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy.  Prior to coming to work fulltime for MMH he was a police officer for the city of Marengo.  Terry is a lifelong resident of Marengo and has served the community as a Marengo City Councilman, Chairman of Iowa County 911 Board, President of Iowa County EMS Association and past Board Member of Marengo Golf Club.

 

Name:  Nancy Kohrt, CHFP
Position: Chief Financial Officer

Nancy joined MMH in June of 2007.  She is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional with a BA in Accounting from Mt. St. Clare College.  She is currently obtaining her MBA.  Nancy has four years experience in critical access hospitals.  Nancy has three grown children.

 

Name:  Teresa Sauerbrei, RN
Position: Chief Nursing Officer

Teresa Sauerbrei, RN

Teresa received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1995 from the University of Iowa.  She has been the Chief Nursing Officer since April, 2006.  Teresa has been in many roles at MMH since she came on board in 1995 as a Director of Patient Care Services, Nursing Supervisor, Floor Nurse, and Associate Director of Patient Care Services.  Teresa oversees Nursing, Emergency Department, Dialysis, Surgery, Radiology, Lab, Respiratory Therapy, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Social Services.

Name:  Natasha Hauschilt
Position:  Director of Organizational Performance

Natasha received her Bachelors degree in Health Promotion and Management at Grandview College in Des Moines. She started at MMH in 2005 and has worked in Quality, Credentialing, Risk Management and Compliance and was name Director of Organizational Performance in 2009. Natasha currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Iowa Association of Healthcare Quality and is also member of Rotary Club of Iowa County.

Name:  Adam Rabe
Position: Ambulance Director

Adam received his Paramedic training from Mercy/St.Lukes Education Center.  He joined MMH in Feb. 1998 and has worked as a Paramedic Specialist, Ambulance Supervisor, and a Field Training Officer.  In Nov. 2008 he became the Ambulance Director.  Adam started his career in EMS as a volunteer with Blairstown Ambulance in Oct. 1995.  Adam also serves on the Marengo City Council and has two young children.

 

Name:  Dean Schmuecker
Position: Director of Facility Services

Dean Schmuecker As the Director of Facility Services, Dean oversees housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and dietary.  He came to MMH in 1981 and became the Housekeeping/Maintenance Supervisor in 1988.  He then became the Director in 1992, when he added Dietary.  In 1985 he added Lifeline to his list of departments.  Dean also heads the Safety Committee and Fire Brigade teams of MMH.

 

Name:  Tracy Seboldt
Position: Dialysis Director

Tracy Seboldt received her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Luther College in 1993.  She began her nursing career at the University of Iowa where she worked from 1993 to 2000.  She started working with  hemodialysis patients  in October  2000 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She moved home (to Blairstown) with her three children in April  2006 to open the dialysis unit at Marengo Memorial Hospital.  In 2008, she became a Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN). 

 

Name:  Margaret Staman
Position: Foundation Director

Margaret Staman joined the staff at Marengo in September, 2006. Margaret previously held positions on the Board of Trustees, and also the Foundation Board.  As the Foundation Director, Margaret is in charge of special events that the foundation plans, fundraising events, and all donations given to the hospital.

Lesa started at MMH in 1990 in the Business Office as an Admissions Clerk.  She later moved into the Business Office Manager role and took on payroll.  After several years as Business Office Manager she moved to the Accounting Coordinator position taking on Accounts Payable as well as payroll.  In 2006 she assumed the role of Director of Human Resources.
