20 minute paid break and 30 minute unpaid lunch per 8-hour shift
Employees called back in to work receive double time for any callback hours (one hour minimum).
Food available 12:00 to 1:00 . Tickets available at the Information Desk.
ACLS and PALS training offered to staff members.
Employee Assistance Program
Assistance Center at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids - will provide free counseling sessions (up to 3) for employees and family members plus referral.
Flexible Spending Account
Unreimbursed Medical and Dependent Child Care. Pre-tax $ deducted for medical/dental/vision expenses not covered by insurance or for child care expenses.
Parking located north of the hospital in the lot and east of the hospital on the far east end of the lot
Hospital pays 80% of Blue Advantage Premium and 65% of other Advantage plan. Hospital pays 50% of Alliance Select Plan. Dental Insurance is offered, employee pays 100% of plan.

Hospital contributes 6.65% of employee's gross earnings and employee contributes 4.3% of their gross earnings toward Iowa Public Employees' Retirement Plan.
Life Insurance is offered to eligible full time employees. Employee pays 100% of policy.
Liability insurance coverage while performing your assigned duties.
Additional $.50/hour for 2 nd shift and weekends; and $1.00/hour for 3 rd shift
Short/Long Term Disability
Short term is offered to all eligible full time employees. Employee pays 100% of short term policy.
Long term monthly max of $5000.00. Long term policy is paid for by hospital.
Accrued on hours worked.
Free use of equipment in Rehab area. Free flu shots when available.
