Barry Goettsch, MHA, FACHE
Chief Executive Officer

Barry Goettsch joined MMH in July of 2011.  Barry graduated with his Masters of Science, Health Services Administration from the University of South Dakota after graduating from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.  He previously was the Chief Executive Officer at Hawarden Community Hospital in Hawarden, Iowa. He has been active with affiliations such as Meals on Wheels, Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis and more.  Barry is married to Eva, a graduate from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and they have two children, Bennet and Abigail.  Barry and his family enjoy being involved in community activities and plan to take an active role in many community projects.

Mikaela Kienitz, RN, MSN
Chief Operational Officer

Mikaela Kienitz has spent her entire nursing career at MMH. She started as a staff nurse in 2001 and then in 2005 became the Associate Director of Patient Care Services. In 2006, she was named the Director of Patient Care Services and in 2009 named Assistant Administrator. Mikaela received her Master of Science in Nursing from Allen College with an emphasis on nursing leadership. Mikaela lives in Marengo.

Teresa Sauerbrei, RN, BSN
Chief Nursing Officer

Teresa received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1995 from the University of Iowa. She has been the Chief Nursing Officer since April, 2006. Teresa has been in many roles at MMH since she came on board in 1995 as a Director of Patient Care Services, Nursing Supervisor, Floor Nurse, and Associate Director of Patient Care Services.
