Malcolm Findlater, MD

Dr. Malcolm Findlater is Marengo Memorial Hospital’s Medical Director. His medical education includes a BS in General Science from University of Iowa. He then received his MD degree from the University of Iowa in 1981. Dr. Findlater went to the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to attend residencies in Family Practice and Internal Medicine. Dr. Findlater is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the American Telemedicine Association, Iowa County Board of Health, Iowa County Medical Examiner, Iowa Medical Society, and the Iowa Rural Health Association. Dr. Findlater is married and has two children.

Philip McCune, DO

Philip McCune is a native of Williamsburg, Iowa, graduating from Williamsburg High School. He attended Iowa State University where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and then went onto Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 1987. Dr. McCune is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians, the Iowa Association of Osteopathic Family Practice, the American Osteopathic Association, the Iowa Osteopathic Association and the Association of Military Surgeons United States. Dr. McCune is in the US Army Reserves associated with the 4207th. You may see Dr. McCune at the clinic, but he will also see patients in the MMH Emergency Room occasionally.

Mark Irland, MD

Dr. Mark Irland joins MMH in July of 2007. Dr. Irland received is MD from the Unviersity of Iowa, College of Medicine in 1996. He did his post graduate training in a Cedar Rapids Family Practice from 1996-1999. He has worked previously in the Grinnell Regional Medical Center Emergency Room and the Washington County Emergency Room. He is Board Certified in Family Practice. Joan Harding, MD

Marengo Memorial Hospital welcomes the return of Dr. Joan Harding to the staff. Dr. Harding practiced at MMH from 1993-1998. She was Chief of Staff from 1997-1998. She then went to Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Dr. Harding graduated from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1988. She was a preceptor for students of Family Practice for the U of I during her time with Marengo Memorial Hospital. She currently sits on the Iowa County Chapter of American Cancer Society as Chair. She is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Iowa Medical Society. Dr. Harding is a resident of Marengo.

Susan Teggatz, MD

Dr. Susan Teggatz joined Marengo Memorial Hospital and Family Medical Clinic of Iowa River Vally on May 14. Dr. Teggatz is a board certified pediatrician and sees children of all ages. Dr. Teggatz came to MMH from Partners in Pediatrics where she has practiced since 2003. Previously she has been on staff at St. Anthony Family Practice in Carrol, and Iowa and Iowa Health Physicians - Pediatrics in Cedar Rapids. Dr. Teggatz earned her medical degree from the University of Iowa. She is married and has
three young boys.

Heidi Wauters, ARNP

Heidi Wauters joined Dr. Malcolm Findlater’s practice in the spring of 2005. She received her Family Nurse Practitioner and her Master in Science of Nursing in 2005 from Allen College of Nursing in Waterloo. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from 2000-2005. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She volunteers as a member of the Belle Plaine Area Ambulance Board. Heidi is married and has one child.

An Iowa native, Jim Hines, PA-C began his healthcare career as a University of Iowa trained Paramedic in 1990. He received his nursing degree from NEICC in Calmar, Iowa in 1994. He completed the Physician Assistant Program at the University of North Dakota, School of Medicine in 2002. He is certified by the NCCPA. He has over 15 years of Emergency Healthcare experience.
