Marengo Memorial Hopsital Open Dialysis Unit

Marengo Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit opened on September 25, 2006.  Staff completed treatment of its first dialysis patient, a resident of Marengo, who has long been an advocate for the service in Marengo.

Prior to beginning dialysis, the hospital had awaited permission from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  Only one patient received treatment at this time.  The Iowa Department of Inspection and Appeals completed the inspection and we are now a medicare certified dialysis unit.  The hospital provides dialysis on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the mornings and afternoons.
